O Savior, dost thou truly know
The grief and pain I feel?
Dost thou truly wish to feed
My hungry soul a meal?
Dost thou truly help me through
My strife; my every trial?
Hast thou truly walked with me
My every single mile?
My savior, suffered thou for me,
So thou dost know my pain,
And scriptures thou hast given me,
Through which, my soul might gain.
And looking back, I see thy hand
In trials of the past;
You’ve walked with me through every one,
No matter small or vast.
So Lord, I put my trust in thee,
And not the arm of flesh;
I know that thou wilt ne’er forsake,
But thou, with peace, will bless.
