Senior Math
Everyone in this class will be on a different level, and maybe even studying a different math subject. Students have the freedom of choice to select one of ten math guidebooks. Each book follows a simple formula:
- A Principle is stated.
- An example is shown.
- Students create and solve their own math problems.
The instructor will be in class to assist the students if a principle is not understood. There will also be interactive challenges where students will create and solve story problems as a class. This way they will learn to apply the concepts learned on various math subjects.
$60.00 / month
If you register before school begins, there is a free trial included, where you can access previously recorded classes.
It is suggested that new students begin with the numeration book, since this system of learning math is so different from other programs. There are no work pages, for example. Sometimes students jump ahead in grade, but missed some important basic math principles, such as the memorization of the multiplication facts. This may not seem important in today’s world with phones and calculators to do the work, but the value of math is learning to “think and self-govern.”
