Junior B Science – Botany
In this class, students will actually write their own botany book as they study the ten categories of plants–from algea to grass, flowers, trees, and even weeds. They will have hands-on experiences with each of them, growing seeds and drawing or painting various types of plants and their parts in their book.
The introductory material is a study of the basic element of most plants – seeds–the big seed of an avocado, the tiny seeds of the strawberry, oval seeds, round seeds, long seeds, and even the value of the tiny mustard seed and the parable that goes with it. Students will love this class!
Note: The Teacher’s Manual is optional but may be helpful in guiding your students as they create their own botany book.

If you register before school begins, there is a free trial included, where you can access previously recorded classes.
Students DEFINE, EXPLAIN, and ILLUSTRATE the major vocabulary words for each of the ten plant types. They then use religious writings or their scriptures of choice to study the spiritual use and symbolism of the kinds of plants God created.
Students create their own textbook as they do their assignments and research.
After studying the plant kingdom, students are asked to answer the question: WHY did God create plants?
