Jr. Language Arts – Called to Serve – Teacher Manual

(Ages 5-8) The purpose of this parent/teacher manual is to help children learn how to perform creative service projects with their language arts skills and talents in art, music, poetry, reading and writing. It is probably true that most children have already learned to be helpful at home with chores and acts of service, however they may not think of using their talents in music, art, reading, writing and poetry for serving and helping others.

The children will be excited to practice their talents because – unlike other programs – their creative work will have a purpose.

Service is the key to self-worth and happiness. The Bible assures us that when we are serving others, we are actually serving Christ (Matthew 25:40 ).

On the subject of education, this familiar statement by Benjamin Franklin affirms: “learning to serve God, Family and community is the aim and end of all true learning.”

This Teacher Guide is a companion to the Student workbook. (Junior Language Arts, Volume 1: Called to Serve by Improving My Talents Student Guide.
